Can I volunteer?
Hell yes! This festival is what we make of it. A festival takes a lot of work and there are more tasks than our small group can do year after year. There all types of ways to pitch in and keep the property maintained, build a better festival, and keep the spirit alive that JtG is based on. Volunteering is also a way to make friends and interact with the rest of the attendees. Depending on your skill set and the demands it takes to build our event, we always have something for you to do. Please email
jamminthegulch2023@gmail.com
and let us know why you want to volunteer, what you can do, and when you will be at The Homestead.
Is there camping on site?

Is there down-time in the campground?
Chill time will be reasonably enforced in designated camping areas between 4 am - 10 am each morning. No amplified music or drums allowed in campsites unless explicitly permitted by the organizers. Please respect your neighbors by keeping the noise down. Campsite acoustic pickin'-sessions will be taking place throughout the grounds and people are encouraged to be respectful to other campers and move their pickin'-session to a communal area where people are still awake.
Can I bring my dog?
Responsible pet owners may attend the event with their dog under our strict pet-guidelines. We will keep this policy in place as long as people abide by the guidelines: keep the area poop-free, use forest areas to pee, keep dogs from fighting, and create a hassle-free and nuisance-free atmosphere.
Our general rule of thumb is as follows: If you have a dog that you can take to the dog park with no worries in the world - who will socialize easily, not fight, not constantly bark, and is manageable off-leash, then you can safely bring your dog to this event. If you can't take your dog to the dog park, or maybe timid in how you command your pet, then this is not the right place for you to bring your pet. All pets who attend should be peaceful, easy-going, and loving pets who are comfortable in social environments with loud noise and strangers. If you do bring your pet, it's your responsibility 100% of the time. The forest around us is wild and if your dog runs off, there may be little to do but wait around until it comes back. We ask that pets not become a distraction from guests who are listening and dancing to the music. Please use common sense to decide whether or not to bring your dog.
Is there cell service or wifi?
There is cell service on the property, but Verizon is the only service available. Wifi is not available.
Are there showers? Bathrooms?
No showers. Porta-potty's will be on site.
Is there power to charge my device?
No electricity. Please bring your solar-powered charging stations if you plan to use electronic devices.
Are there services?
The Silver Express Convenience Store is nearby. They have a decent selection of beer and other convenience needs (only place to buy beer). At the 50,000 Silver Dollar, there is an attached bar and restaurant with packaged liquor, plus the largest gift shop in the state. However, throwing stars are not allowed at the festival.
Can I bring a generator?
We are allowing gas-powered generators. Generators are not allowed during quiet hours 4 a.m. to 10 a.m.
Whats the water situation?
The well on site is currently not safe for drinking. Please bring your own water. Water is available at the nearby gas station or 50,000 Silver Dollar.
Will fires be allowed?
There will be fires in the main stage area in fire barrels conditions permitting. Fires are not permitted at individual campsites.
What can I do in HaugAn?
Sure! The St. Regis River is located on the other side of the interstate and there are swimming and fishing opportunities. For those looking to get their sweat on, the Haugan mountain trail is great for hiking and mountain biking. The historic Savanac tree nursery is also a short walk from the venue.
Will there be an EMS?
There are no emergency medical services. We have first aid kits on site. Call 911 in an emergency.
What about the weather? Rain, smoke?
This is a rain or shine event. Montana weather is unpredictable. Please keep an eye on the forecast and plan accordingly. Temperatures at night tend to be chilly.
How do I join the street team?
We are looking for dedicated JtG Street Team members to help spread the word and expand the awareness and the spirit of Jammin' the Gulch to new areas. We will share fliers and posters or mail them to street team members to canvas the areas their musical adventures take them along with their local communities. Contact us at

for more information and to get started.
